Tour Schedule

When: Saturday, February 25, 2012
Time: 10am to 2:30pm

We will be introducing a new story of "The Frazier Sisters". James and Rachel Frazier were born in 1819 and 1824 in Virginia. Many of those buried in the historic Springhill Cemetery are descendants of James and Rachel's three daughters. Many of the Rosenwald Schools in Jasper County are the result of their descendant's efforts. Jasper County has among the highest concentration of these historic schools still standing in the state of Texas. We invite you to come and experience the tour.

Depart From: The Tour starts at the Jasper County Historical Museum at 165 North Main, Jasper Texas (on the Court House Square). The tour will cover approximately 70 miles of driving roundtrip. A tour brochure with itinerary is available by calling the Jasper County Museum at 409 384 6666. Brochures will also be available at the tour.

There will be more tours in winter/spring 2012. The dates are TBD.
